Policies

Pick Up and Drop Off

Children can be dropped off as early as 8:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Prompt pick up is strictly enforced at the Preschool.
Children will only be released to the designated person(s) on the registration form unless prior arrangements have been made with the teacher.

Snacks

Parents are responsible to pack a small snack and water for their child.  Consider a healthy type snack and must be nut-free.

Illness

We want to ensure the health and safety off all the children at the preschool.  If a child shows any of these signs they will need to be picked up:

  1. Running a temperature of or above 38C/100F

  2. Vomiting or diarrhea.

  3. Contagious conditions such as, chicken pox, lice, rashes, pick eye, etc.

Medication
We will not administer medication of any kind to children other than emergency medication (ie: epi-pen, inhaler)

Children's Belongings

Children are provided with a designated area to store their belongings.  Parents will be asked to bring certain items for their child such as indoor shoes, extra shirt/pant/socks/underpants in addition to school supplies.  All items belonging to the student should be labeled.

Emergency Contact

Parents must provide current contact information (e.g. phone numbers, address) where they can be reached in case of an emergency.  At least 1 alternative contact must be provided in case we cannot get in touch with you.  It is up to the parent to ensure the Preschool records are updated immediately if whenever there is a change.

Emergency Drills

As part of St. Luke, we will be practicing fire and lockdown drills.  These drills ensure that the staff and children are prepared for handling an emergency.  During these drills, the staff will help the children exit the school in an orderly manner and safely to get to our assigned relocation area.
